To all concerned: I just learned this evening that Todd Vaughn's father passed away. It took me thirty plus years to find my friend, thanks to what you all do with this communication. Unfortunately I found Todd with diagnosed Schizophrenia, in a care giving home and now his father passed. I wish you all well and hope you can pass a positive thought, wish and/or prayer in my friends direction. Thanks . . . Ted Wolcott '67

Hi John Frantz, Do you remember me (Sherylyn Albrecht-78') from Barlow? Sandy West use to call me Cricket. You may remember a certain summer that you, Sandy, me and my friend John Menditto went back to barlow. Do you have any information on anyone from the class of 77-80? I wanted to go to the reunion, but I don't know if I want to make that trip if very few people from 77-79 are going to be there. It seems like most everyone is from classes of the 60's and early 70's. If you remember me and/or have any information about others from our class, please contact me here or at my home (sherylyn@atlantic.net). Thanks.

Ingrid--Hope I didn't pass on the dreaded W32Magister worm to you, or to any other Barlovians--it zipped right through my McAfee and did all kinds of damage--including the loss of your most recent e-mail address--would you please send it to me--maybe even update the Barlow address book? Sorry, sorry, sorry. Happy New Year and Guid Hogmanay to the rest of you--wish I could be with you next summer.

Happy new year, fellow Barlovians! I'm glad 2001 is over and am elated at the prospect of a new year...clean slate and all.

I awakened to a gloriously beautiful, clear, sunny and cool day, which is loudly calling me to come outside and play. But before I do, I must give you the latest update of attendees for the reunion this summer. Val Thomas ('71) has graciously consented to be among us. Thanks, Val.

Guys, we are still $75 short of the necessary deposit on the facility for the reunion. Please, PLEASE, don't drag your feet getting your deposits to me. It's only $25 per person, and we'd love to be able to reserve the space. Make your checks payable to "Barlow Reunion," and send them to me at my address listed on this site.

I look forward to hearing from you and, hopefully, seeing you all soon.

Love,

Seasons Greetings, Barlovians! This is my first journey in this website and I wanted to hook up with old friends. I'm living in the midwest (from whence I came) and hoping my east coast school mates are doing well.

Hi, All.

Another update on registered attendees: Ingrid (LaFleur) Yurchenco has decided to grace us with her presence, and I'm thrilled at the prospect of seeing her again soon. Please, PLEASE send your registrations and reservations. Jon's put in a lot of work and this promises to be a wonderful gathering for all involved.

Since my last post (seems like eons ago), my husband was diagnosed (as expected) with metastatic adenocarcinoma to the liver. He begins chemotherapy tomorrow and we all hope for the best. My boss has been wonderful through this who episode. I've purchased a new computer so I can work from home and spend time with Jerry, as needed.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy holiday season and new year.

Love,

I suspect that a large number of you are still a bit leary about traveling, especially by plane these days. But, on the other hand, this reunion coming up next year should prove to be a whopper! I've put a lot of work into the plans here and promise it to be awsome.

I have one suggestion for those that do not wish to fly for the time being (at least those on the MAINLAND of the good old US of A); we could arrange to hire some private bus lines to bring you here and back (of course we would include a kung fu warrior with each bus for protection) and make it like some old fashion school trip.

In any case, please try to get your RSVP's into Naomi or myself as soon as possible so we can figure out the meal plans and costs. And we still do have some room left at the two dormatories on campus.

Otherwise, I just want to wish you all a very happy and peaceful holiday season and hope to see you all in 2002.

Hi, all.

I could have SWORN I posted the other day, but it must have gotten lost in the fog in my brain. I've received deposits from Kristi (Heller) Agniel, Priscilla (Gould) Stevens and Jeanne Cowan. Keep those checks rolling in!

I'm trying to get receipts out to all individuals, but I'm afraid I've encountered another pebble in the proverbial stream. My husband's been ill, and going back and forth to doctors' appointments and outpatient tests, etc. He's been hospitalized since Friday night and the needle biopsy performed today is most certain to come back as positive for metastic colon cancer in his liver. We'll find out the final dx tomorrow a.m. Keep your toes crossed that it's some kind of flukey amoeba.

Love,

Hi, all!

Just a quickie update on our registrations and reservations: Andrew St. John, Julie Robinson and Harold Katz registered, as did John Frantz -- who mentioned "two" reservations, but only sent one fee. Does this mean you don't want Laura to share the joy? (hint! hint!). Also, we have room reservations from Constance Maslow, Harold Katz, and Andrew St. John. Carol Grant, you mentioned you'd like a room -- preferably in the Chalet. Unfortunately, none of the room we are being offered is in the Chalet and you need to send me a check for a reservation, please ($50 for one night, $75 for two).

As an additional reminder: Reservations for Silo Ridge can be made for a fee of $25 PER PERSON. Mail me your checks drawn payable to "Barlow Reunion," and include a note with what your check represents, your snail mail address, email address, phone number and year of graduation from or attendance at Barlow. Thank you.

And before I forget: A happy and healthy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. This year, our joy of the holiday will be heightened by the presence of our granddaughter, Gillian, at her first Thanksgiving, four of our five kids, my folks, former mother-in-law, assorted friends and family members. The menu is potato leek soup, turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, petit pois and new onions, baby carrots with a honey lemon glaze, cranberry chutney, and the ubiquitous canned cranberry sauce and yams with marshmallows. I'm baking only pumpkin pies this year, and my mother's bringing apple.

Hi, Folks.

We have registrations this week from Marc Lefkovics, Constance Maslow, Carol Grant and Alan Naylor. Our bank account topped out at $730 with these deposits!!!

I know it's a long way off (so it seems, anyway), but plans need to be made and deposits paid, so please send me your $25 per person deposit for the weekend, and make your checks payable to "Barlow Reunion." Your email and snailmail addresses and telephone numbers would make me happy, as would your year of graduation -- or year(s) of attendance, as the case may be.

In any case, I'm delighted to be hearing from y'all and look forward to seeing you.

If things get too busy for me to post the closer we get to Thanksgiving, you'll have to excuse me. My granddaughter (and her parents) will be spending her first Thanksgiving with us -- as will my parents, former mother-in-law, our three girls and, perhaps, two significant others, a niece and a friend of my parents who has nowhere to go for the holiday -- a smaller than usual crowd for me. And I do all the cooking and baking(sigh!)! Actually, it's one of the two times a year I do mega cooking in my super duper new kitchen that is, otherwise, pristine!

I look forward to hearing from y'all soon.

Joan Silverson Wexler and I (both class of '60) are sleuthing out all trails, hot and cold, to find our classmates (plus or minus a year)in time for the next reunion. If anyone can give us a lead, we will follow it. Sadly, we found out that Garland Eliason (60) who married Bill French (also '60) had died. I am writing her son to find out more about her life. My phone number, but not e-mail, has changed to: 503-699-3149.

Hi, all,

Just an update on the reunion account for the week: We've received deposits from Michael Haig, Vicky Rudnitsky and Andrew Cook! And with these deposits, we have a balance of $550.

We welcome all of you to ante up the registration fee of $25 per person, make the check payable to "Barlow Reunion," and send it to me (see the alumni site for my snail mail address). That's it. That's all there is to do! I'd appreciate your year of graduation, just for a point of reference. A teleph...
