I’ve had some interesting feed back from my last mailing, so I hope
to give you all a little more info for our next reunion in this newsletter.
I also want to ask for more feedback from you on the structure of our
next get together.
First of all, let me tell you that the dates are set. We will
be getting together between June 17th to the 19th, another great weekend
which I believe includes Father’s day. So bring your children!!!
(only if you really care to!)
The format seems to be going like this:
Friday night, dinner at Cascade Mountain Winery Restaurant (as we have
done the last two times. Only this time, I hope we can do better
on the assortment of food. (Seems like we never really got the
exact assortment to keep us from going hungry!)
Saturday, we have some options available to us. Ted Wolcott offered
to host/cook a picnic down at the pond for lunch and I’ve learned from
the headmaster at Kildonan, Ron Wilson, that they now have a gourmet
chef in their kitchen that is awesome, so I thought we could do dinner
at the school cafeteria for Saturday night. This could also keep
down the overall cost for the weekend events as well as give us some
nostalgia. I’ve now learned from the past two |
reunions
that having live entertainment is not really required, since I found that
most of you just want to sit around and catch up with old times. So
unless I hear different, no entertainment is planned. Those of you
that do like to perform in any way are, of course, welcome to do so. It
should be an open mike type of event.
As for accommodations during the event, the dorms would be available to
us as well as the various motels and B&B’s in the area for which I
would furnish you all a list via the website as we did before.
Now that I’ve given you the basic structure, I expect to see more feedback
on the web site or by phone or e-mail back to me or the other volunteers
helping with the planning. Here are some names and numbers to contact

to volunteer your time to help plan this event and contact myself or

Hope to see as many of you as can make it next June! Let’s make

One last question I would like to ask : I want to know if you would
want to see a newsletter in hard copy (somewhat like this one) to be
mailed on a periodic time frame, say four times a year with updates
or news about each other or is the web site adequate for you all. I
sense that there still are some of you that don’t surf the web yet and
may never want to. I would only ask that if you did want one, you would
offer some kind of donation for the cost of my time, the printing, paper
and postage. And it couldn’t hurt to offer some compensation
for Juan’s time on the website either. I look forward to hearing from
each and everyone of you.
